Perinorth was founded on the belief that you can be a part of the solution.
The most crucial global challenges, from climate change and sustainability, to dementia and cancer, are at the forefront of career opportunities and international experiences.
Our programs provide internship and research opportunities for students to work with the best scientists, professionals, and universities in the world, tackling these exact challenges.
We enable you to experience the world and play an active part in solving global challenges both during the program and throughout your career.
Let’s work together.
In addition to the amazing time that you'll have living and experiencing the local city and country, you will get to experience working with a group of leading professionals in your field that are focused on finding solutions.
It's a completely different experience than simply studying abroad. Here you are learning about some of the most important challenges that we face, and working hands-on with leaders and teammates to help solve them.
It's an incredibly valuable learning experience, but it's also a fantastic way to build your network and resume, and even earn academic credit.
Each internship or research group is unique in its work and what the day to day is like. However, there are many similarities as well.
Typically, the day will start around 9 a.m. and ends at around 3:30 or 4:00. Once onsite, your first day starts with a meeting with your program leader. During this meeting, they will provide the detailed goals for your time with the program, many of these points will have also been covered during your video interview with them prior to acceptance. They will also go over any health and safety training that may be necessary.
For the next 8-10 weeks, you will be working within the program towards those goals. You will often work with both the lead professionals, professors, Post-doc students, PhD students and others. Their goal is to make sure that your time is spent learning and working towards the project goals. And don't forget, you will have a lot of fun as well!
