Your personal advisor will be your guide that is with you throughout the entire process. When you first register to either apply or learn more about the program, your personal advisor will be with you from start to finish.
They Provide Answers:
The first thing that you receive from our program – are answers to your questions.
From the start, your advisor is there an answer any and all of your questions. They’ll first work with you to learn more about your interests and goals, what experiences you’ve had and what goals you're working towards. They’ll provide details on the different internship and research programs that fit your goals and experiences.
Resume/CV Adjustments:
After you apply, your advisor will video chat with you to go over your resume/CV, answer any of your questions and then provide details on the confirmation process.
Once you’re confirmed, they will work with you to finalize your resume/CV and make any necessary changes to make sure it’s in perfect condition.
Program Placement:
After your resume/CV is completed (usually within a week of confirmation), they will start working with our partners to set up video interviews with the program leaders that you are most interested in! These are typically arranged within 4-6 week after the resume/CV is complete.
This provides a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the work that they’re doing and how you’ll fit into their research or work. It also provides a great opportunity to ask any questions you have about their work. After the interview you’ll receive an offer letter inviting you to join their team!
Visa and Passport Assistance:
After the placement process is complete, your Personal Advisor starts finalizing all of the other program details. But first they will work with you make sure that your passport is up to date and will work with you to make sure any and all visa processes are ready to go!
Insurance:
In additional to the visa and passport assistance, your advisor will also be finalizing your health insurance while abroad with your final dates and details. You will also receive a benefits sheet before departure!
Pre-Departure Orientation:
Now that your placement is finalized, along with insurance, visa and passport, the real fun begins! We’ll talk with you several weeks before you depart after you've received all of the final program information. This is an opportunity to answer any questions you might have and to talk about what to expect when you land, cultural differences you may not be aware of as well as the location of health and safety resources onsite. After the Pre-Departure Orientation you will hear from your Onsite Coordinator before you leave!
Onsite Coordinator:
Your onsite coordinator is an integral part of your experience abroad. That’s why all of our coordinators have extensive experience working with students – they love being a resource and helping you make the most of your experience!
Airport Pickup:
Once you land – your onsite coordinator will be waiting for you when you walk out of the doors. With your luggage, they’ll take you and other students who arrived at a similar time over to your housing! They’ll let you get settled and the next day, you’ll have a full onsite orientation of the city.
Orientation:
The day after you arrive, your coordinator takes you and the group on a walking tour of the city, showing you the best way around town and discussing the different social customs, processes , health and safety, emergency protocols and other useful information!
Housing:
Housing is one of the most important aspects of an overseas experience. Our focus is on location and comfort. All of the apartments are centrally located and in very safe neighborhoods with easy access to public transportation.
Additionally, all housing is fully furnished, with wifi and all other utilities included. There are typically 2-4 students per apartment, which offers a great opportunity to connect with your fellow students. Final housing details are typically sent four-six weeks before departure!
Excursions:
Your coordinator is also your guide for the excursions. During orientation he will walk through the process (meeting points, etc.) for the excursions during your program. Then on set dates, you will take off with your group to see some of the best sites that are on offer! It’s a fantastic opportunity to see other areas of the city and country! All of the excursion descriptions are all included on both the country pages and on the program pages.
Social Activities:
During the program, your onsite coordinator also schedules social activities during the program. These are focused on events that are happening within the city, from concerts, art shows, festivals and other events! This is a great opportunity to socialize with other students and locals!
Alumni Association:
Once you return from the program, you are automatically part of a strong alumni group of professionals, students, professors and research groups. It provides an opportunity to meet other likeminded students and professionals!

After you return, we're here for you! Need help readjusting? Let us know! If you are receiving credit for your program, we will make sure that all documentation is sent over to your home university. We will also provide help on how to maximize your experience for your career, so that you can continue to help solve the problems that we're working on together.
