Housing is one of the most important aspects of an overseas experience. Our focus is on location and comfort. In Copenhagen, all of our apartments are located in either Central Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Nørrebro or Østerbro. This provides fantast access to all that Copenhagen has to offer!
Additionally, all housing is fully furnished, with wifi and all other utilities included. There are typically 2-4 students per apartment, which offers a great opportunity to connect with your fellow students.
Natalie goes to the University of Toronto and interned in research at the University of Copenhagen!
What type of program did you experience?
I was in a research group at the University of Copenhagen in the Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate. I worked in both the lab as well as doing quite a bit of field work.
I was able to get a lot of research and lab experience identifying insects and ants and we also did a lot of fieldwork in and around Copenhagen collecting specimens. I was able to learn a lot of different computer program systems creating maps and for collecting and analyzing data. I also met a lot of different people in all different areas of research. It was great.
How was your housing?
Housing was great, it was in a really nice area of Frederiksberg. It was just a few minutes walk from lots of shops and restaurants, close to the metro station and it was so easy to bike everywhere – the apartment qas quite cute, really quiet, and there was a little yard, and the neighborhood was really beautiful.
Would you recommend the program to another student?
Yes, for sure, I had an incredible time in Copenhagen. I’ve had the best experience here and I met so many great people and I would recommend this to anyone!
